2/3 RAF Ibsley
Ibsley Hampshire (near Fordingbridge). Event at Brooklands Farm, North Gorley, in the New Forest Having attended over the past 5 years this is an excellend small rural show about the history of Ibsley Airfied. Wimborne and Salisbury aircraft modellers will also be giving demonstrations (not to be missed). Flying display of some local Aircraft from Bournemouth and Compton Abbis Airfield, will be flying by during the festival which will raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society, Salisbury Hospice and the Royal British Legion Women's Section Benevolent fund. The gates open at 10.30am. In addition to the aircraft, RAF Ibsley Historical Group will be staging an exhibition, there will be miniature steam engines, vintage tractors, motorcycles, classic cars and military vehicles. Among the myriad other displays will be textile, decoupage, ceramics, a Dutch street organ, jewellery, woodcarving, walking stick making, spinning and weaving, Alan Brown's New Forest airfields, crafts, a WI Country Market and the history of Amy Johnson. Admission to the event is £2.50.
